On behalf of International Transport Workers’ Federation<\/a>, I created a campaign to support their push to increase the seafarers’ minimum wage. At the outset, few thought that an increase was possible. I wrote material, devised a social media campaign (in multiple languages) and created a website<\/a>, as well as preparing the negotiators opening statement. I also drafted supportive articles to appear in other media<\/a> and edited the closing video<\/a>. At the talk’s conclusion, a 4.3% pay increase had been agreed<\/a> that will provide the new minimum for the world’s 1.6 million seafarers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
